I'm Sandy, the creator of From the waist up and self-proclaimed remote work evangelist. To describe myself is not easy; some days I have an innate desire to achieve greatness, which fuels my every word, action, and decision. My boundless motivation and unyielding determination can propel me to creative heights I never thought possible. Other days, I leave my phone in the fridge.

And that probably sums me up.

 

But in case you're interested in more: I'm a blogger, musician, marketer, pescatarian, lover of animals, lattes, and Swedish Fish. And because this is starting to sound like a Tinder profile: wife, mother, school volunteer, and dedicated communications professional. Finally, I'm no Peggy Hill, but I do love a good game of Boggle.

I've been working remotely since March 2020 and thriving ever since. Not only have I found my professional niche, but remote work has also offered me a new way of working to produce the best, most creative work I have to offer. I believe remote work (for those jobs where it's possible) is our future. And as they say, the future is now!
